Isaiah 43: 15-19
I Am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. Thus saith The Lord which maketh a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters; which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together; they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Prayer:
Father, Thank You for allowing us to see a new year; Thank You for keeping us, even during our wilderness season but most of all Thank You God, for Jesus! We ask that you examine our hearts this day, if there is anything that does not align with You, please remove it. Fill us with Your good fruits of the Spirit. Where there is unforgiveness, please remove it from us and fill our hearts with forgiveness, where there is anger, please remove it from us and fill our hearts with love, where there is doubt, please remove it from us and fill our hearts with faith, where there is pain, please remove it from us and fill our hearts with joy. Take us, shape us, mold us and put us back together again Lord. You are our Creator, and we pray for our will to align with Your Will for our lives. Father, we thank You for the sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. Thank you for allowing our beloved sorority to serve Your people for 100 years. Help us to remember the ideals that have shaped Delta Sigma Theta and to always remember that Your Word is the foundation that the organization sets upon. Everything we do, we must do it to please You. When we interact with the world, it is Your Light that shines bright in us. Let us never forget that You are the captain of our souls, the author and the finisher of our faith. As we embark upon this new journey in the life of our sisterhood, help us to uphold the principles that govern our work. May Your Purpose be Fulfilled on Earth as You have written it in Heaven. We give you all the honor and glory. AMEN.
Application:
Sorors, as we welcome the New Year, let us go forward with boldness expecting God to do a “new thing” in our lives. Let go of the things that bind you and hold you back. Open your hearts to receive The Living God and let Him spring forth and fill you with new ideas and a fresh anointing. The past is the past, let us learn from it and use our experiences to shape a better future. This year, I challenge you to be the Best You that you can be. You are an original, designed by God, destined for Greatness. You are who God called you to be. Now Live!
